Evan Ture
Evan Ture joined the Buda EDC board in May 2020 with a goal to foster an environment where people can Live, Work, and Play within Buda. Evan stresses the importance of leveraging our limited resources intentionally for the best impact to Buda, as well as creating primary jobs in Buda, particularly jobs from a diverse set of industries to make the city more resilient.
Evan grew up in Central Texas, and then got married and moved to Buda in 2010 where him and his wife, Dahlia, have laid down roots and have two girls and one boy. Elected in 2017, he serves on the Buda City Council and currently is the Mayor Pro Tem. Evan graduated from Cornell University in Engineering and was a Power Systems Engineer and then a Sales Engineer in the renewable energy sector working for two companies in the Texas Innovation Corridor: Younicos and Xtreme Power. He also has served as a Board Member for the Asociación de Productores de Energía Renovable (APER) since 2013.
In 2016, Evan co-founded a software company in the energy industry here in Buda, Indie Energy, for which he serves as the Chief Revenue Officer.
When he’s not at Indie Energy, Buda City Hall, or home, you can often find Evan splashing around one of Buda’s splash pads like he’s one of the kids or find the Tures listening to live music around town.
