New developer aims to bring flex industrial space to fast-growing region south of Austin
An Austin-based industrial developer’s first project aims to bring more than 160,000 square feet of flex space to a fast-growing region south of the Texas capital.
Tiger Capital — officially TCRE 2001 LLC — is aiming to break ground in mid-August on Tower Business Park at 13401 Farm to Market Road 2001 in Buda, about 15 miles south of downtown Austin, officials said. The project is located on 23 acres in Buda’s extraterritorial jurisdiction and is estimated to take 10 to 12 months to complete.
Partner Cameron Hughey said the speculative, multi-tenant industrial campus will have six freestanding buildings between 18,000 and 60,000 square feet for a total of 163,100 square feet. It would be suitable for tenants between 8,000 and 15,000 square feet. He said the product has smaller building sizes designed to hold multiple tenants, divisible building depths, ample parking and a dedicated truck court that can be used for traditional loading or a fenced storage yard, which are not commonly found in existing inventory.
