Nonprofit Keeping Communities Connected (KCC) is partnering with the city of Buda, H-E-B and Target to bring the event to the Buda Amphitheater and City Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19. The celebration was held virtually last year, due to COVID-19, but the organization wanted to bring it back in-person.
“We are bringing Black history back to the park,” said Sandra Bryant, KCC president.
Attendees can expect to see a variety of entertainment ranging from DJ Vincent, Zumba, yoga, dance/music performances and a kids corner with Inspired Minds. Dr. Candace Bellamy, Kettra Allen Priestly (Clinic Social Worker and Therapist), resident chef JRodi and moderator April Bisor Barnes will make up a guest Q&A panel that will address this year’s theme: Mental Health & Wellness.
