$27M project aims to bring needed retail, restaurant space to fast-growing Buda
Real estate professionals, business owners and others who live in Buda have been discussing over the last several months what the city needs as it continues to grow. Thoughts include retail, more community businesses and full-service restaurants.
Some have discussed partnerships with developers to achieve that goal. But as they started digging into it, they opted to do it themselves, according to Tim Dowling, who is one of the members of the development team of what’s being called “Project Sprinter.”
The $27 million mixed-use project that would span 18.5 acres at 1575 FM 967 is set to have an estimated 50,000 square feet of retail and medical office space across eight buildings, plus a restaurant that will have pickleball and sand volleyball courts and a playground. Space will also be donated to the city for a public park with walking trails. The team is working with Connor Silva and Patrick Connolly of Resolut RE to find tenants.
